Just one small example

An amended HB218 passed the Senate yesterday. I am not a lawyer and my interpretation may be off in some instances but here is what I read. This bill has a few interesting features. It is heavy in its attempt to bring rouge probate judges (like Paulding) in line. It requires licensing on a first come first serve basis. It requires faster turn around of applications. It puts pressure on and allows individuals too sue liberal probate judges who discriminate at their will against issuing carry permits. Calls for guns seized by LEO to be auctioned or sold in a timely manner to prevent stockpiling of arms by the government. Allows 50 state reciprocity of carry license in Georgia. Disallows government entities including the National Guard from seizing individual arms even when the state is in a declared state of emergency. Most interestingly is a provision to allow businesses to stay open if they meet the required safety protocol even if the governor shuts down the state in an emergency such as COVID. This last provision was tacked on after HB218 passed the House the first time. Now it is back to the House to either amend, turn down, pass or do nothing. If passed it goes to Kemp for signature or veto. I think they will amend. JMO.
