I have tried every recommended wine and champagne (and several beers) known to man, and I just do not like them. I DO NOT LIKE THEM, SAM I AM!
Now, give me a good brandy, or vodka, or even whiskey, and I'm fine. (A fine brandy on a cold evening after a good meal...PRIMO!) And in another dozen years, I'll get to enjoy one. (Hankster, long story, but I'm voluntarily giving up likker until the youngest of my nephews is 18 due to long history of alcoholism in several close family members. Strictly a personal preference.)
I gave up alcohol when my daughter was very young and didn't so much as smell it again until she was in her early 20's. It was just a "dad setting an example" thing.
And I can enjoy a good beer.
