It's all in the name of "Peace" !!! Yeah, whatever.....

Assuming all that is true, what do we do about it?
A good first step would be for our government to stop being so politically correct about it.

Some of the reliable think tanks have estimated that as many as 25% of all Muslims are extremists.

That means that there could be up to 300 million Muslims who are dedicated to the destruction of Western civilization.

Let that sink in for a moment...

We have a problem! And it has to be dealt with. The first step in dealing with a problem is to recognize it.

OK. Let's say tomorrow Obama gives a speech and acknowledges it (yeah, I know that won't happen). Then what?

I'm not sure there is anything we can really do about it...at least not short term (meaning 10 years).

A real leader would go to other world leaders and build a coalition dedicated to ending jihad. We can not go to war with the religion itself, but we can go to war to those who practice jihad. We would issue an official statement that we have no beef with peaceful Muslims; but we are hereby declaring war on anyone who would do harm to innocent people in free civilizations.

You get the combined military might of all the advanced nations working together to exterminate this evil, and it wouldn't last long. Yes, it will be bloody and there would be collateral damage. I see no way around it. But it's necessary if we are to have any future peace.

Radical Islam is an evil that must be exterminated from the face of this Earth.

Assuming neither are shooting at you, how do you determine which ones are radical and which ones aren't?

I'm not trying to be an ass with these questions. I just think it's an almost impossible task without MASSIVE collateral damage (way more than anyone would be OK with).

There would be collateral damage. I don't think it would be massive.

I honestly think that if the free world united against radical Islam, that would almost instantly put the movement in decline. The reason they have gotten as far as they have is because much of the world tolerated it. Declare war on it and start mowing the known concentrations of them down, and all but the leaders will run like people downwind of a Colson fart.

I can agree with the statement you made, because you made it stating what I have stated. You are not declaring Islam bad, but those that practice radical Islam. That is the only point I try to make. Those that say ok all Muslims are not bad, but Islam is, are ridiculous because not all followers of Islam are radical and think those that do not practice should die.
Now as @cptlo306 pointed out, determining who is and who is not radical is an issue. :( And believe me I hate that more than many. So many of my friends are distraught, taunted, alienated, and more because they are peaceful Muslims. They want radical Islams gone more than you or I do.

I also think real leadership could enlist the peaceful Muslims in the battle. Not necessarily was warriors, but as a stand for their support of a peaceful Islam. Perhaps they would under the right scenario.

Guard Dad.....from a bible believing Christian standpoint, is the religion of Islam good or evil? Is it for God or against God? Does it work for the glory of God or is it detrimental to the will of the Lord? Does it mock what the actual true beliefs of God are or does it promote the truth of the bible?

The snippets of the Quran that I've read seem to indicate that it contains some evil wording. But since I haven't read the entire book or studied the religion; I try to be careful about passing judgement.

My reasoning above for not going to war against the religion itself is simply a legal one. Our Constitution guarantees those who practices Islam the same freedoms and protects that it does we Christians. If we trod on their freedom of exercise, we put ours at risk as well.

So we must be careful as to how we deal with the issue.

I'm not asking to go to war with anyone. I'm also not calling followers of Islam evil. But what I'm asking is the framework of Islam is not conducive with the Bible. It is not for God so it must be against God. According to what scripture says Islam is not good. That's not passing judgement that's just coming to a conclusion according to what the Bible teaches. It doesn't mean your conclusion should come to hate 4 war with a certain group of people. If my wording led you to believe that's where I was going, then I apologize. I'm not looking for justification for hating a group of people or going to war with a group of people or killing a group of people. That is not my intention. But we as Christians especially must identify things that are not of God and work in a way to help those unbelievers see the truth of the true God. And as a conclusion 2 the above statement, it should lead any Christian to love your enemies and be witnesses to them the word of God. For it is only through Jesus Christ will they have eternal life.

Now based upon my explanation above I must ask again, do you believe Islam is for God or against God?

I've stayed out of this one for the most part but just want to point out that no matter what religion one follows it is difficult to accept any or all of another religion. True, some convert but most are skeptical of religion not familiar to them. This debate has been going on for centuries and will not be settled here. That being said, I think it's good to debate different views as long as it doesn't turn personal and we don't isolate people with differing views. I've had this same debate with my business partner all week too and trust me when I say some of his thoughts are just outright silly, but to each their own. With the recent media coverage of the pending Mosque construction in Newton County as well as the recent ground breaking off Macland Road (less than 10 miles from my house) for a Muslim cemetery, people are concerned and fearful of what it may lead to in the future. All concerns are valid but I won't say they're always based on educated facts. We as Christians are to live in the world but not of the world, and are to love our neighbors (even our enemies). That's a difficult task to achieve, especially when our own religious beliefs and practices are threatened. In a nutshell, there are many different religions and many clash with one another. If we are indeed a nation of religious freedoms then now is the time to test it.

Ok, I'm ready for the my whoop'in now.

I suppose any religion who worships a god (little g) other than the Christian God is against Jehovah.

But most of the other religions don't have a radical wing who is slaughtering innocent and even children.

The radical side of Islam is absolutely evil, and the people who subscribe to it are monsters. I'm not going to sugar coat it. They must be dealt with as such.

Yes, I agree that as Christians we should take every opportunity to witness to others and bring them to Christ if possible. But realistically, I don't expect that many ISIS members to let me get many words out before they cut my head off.
