Seems China (as usual) has not been honest about how they sell endless stuff cheaper than the rest of the world:

IMO the folks who want the environment cleaned up... need to take heed the Chinese are NOT doing their part!

And there seems to be a credibility gap between leftist polecats who support China and their so called environmental concerns...

There are a lot of things that aren't as they appear or supposed to be. Some of the "Green" energy and technology isn't very green at all, and in some cases worst than what it is supposed to replace.

Partisan politics and government funded grants and research is part of the problem.
