Sure glad some guys are coming in the morning to add insulation to the attic. This old house did not have ANY!
 
My mom is out in CA and she said that they have been having triple digits for a couple of weeks. The difference is the humidity. The air out there is dry, so the heat is a lot more tolerable. The air we have had has been so dense that you nearly choke when you go outside...that make the heat feel so nasty!
 
Humidity is as important as temperature. 70 degrees with high humidity can be muggy and hot.
 
yesterday the humidity was so thick! I was outside all day long up in NC at a family reunion. It was on the lake so there was a small breeze however it was doing nothing but moving around hot air. When I got back to my moms last night it had rained a little and the air outside was horrible! I felt like I couldn't breathe.

I knew because it was so hot yesterday that we would be busy today and the phones were ringing off the hook when I walked in this morning. I am betting the rest of the week will be like that as well.
 
The power company subs jacked up my front yard and had to lay some sod as part of the repair. This heat with zero rain is not exactly helping me to get the sod to take. :rant
