If Trump loses.....

I suspect Nikki Haley is the GOPs next rising star for the presidency.
Never get elected,,, republicans can not out-free-chit the democrats, and won't commit voter fraud. Donald J Trump was the last republican president ever. You might be able to start a new Centrist party out of the democrats or an energetic Libertarian party, but that's it.

I doubt he'll run again either. He may be thinking of that now but after a couple years of a 'normal' life, I suspect he won't want to give that up. Having said that, he'll be the kingmaker for the next Republican nominee. Whomever he picks will immediately be projected as the frontrunner for the Republication nomination.

Many are saying Don Jr may run. This would be interesting because I think he is very much like his father in that he would govern and fight similarly but he wouldn't say or tweet as much dumb stuff as his father. He would also instantly get all the Trump Sr supporters.

Thar be a revolution coming

What are your thoughts on Tim Scott for 2024 as President or VP? Yeah, it probably wouldn't happen, but I would like to see him on a presidential ticket to help maximize on the shift in demographics we've seen under Trump. He is lacking in Foreign policy/affairs, but his committee assignments would give him a decent standing for a VP candidacy given the nature of our divide.

I'd vote for him if he is the best they have to run.

I like Scott

I wonder which way the stock markets will head under a Biden administration... I look for increased volatility at least through the 1st quarter of 2021. It could get interesting.

Sadly, but not surprisingly, I'm up almost $5k in 2 days. I guess that's what I'll focus on now going forward and it's really disappointing to say that, honestly.

The last few days in the market I think are a reaction to two things:

1) Odds of a new spendulus being passed. (Many are focused on this rather than the long term)
2) The senate being GOP controlled keeping the Libs from passing the worst of their plans for at least 2 years.

What happens to the GA Senate races will have big impact on what the market is in late 21.

Historically, the market likes divided government.

And THAT should tell us all something.

The GOP needs to get to work and do whatever is necessary to take back the House in 2022 and keep the Senate.
