I voted today!

I decided to vote early this year since I'll have BabyB with me. I realized the lines might be really long on election day and a long wait... So, we went today. There were a lot of people. I was pretty suprised. It was a constant stream of people. It took me a little over 30 minutes to get in and out.


I was happy to see such a turn out!

I wanted to, but just couldn't imagine waiting a long time with BabyB.

Also, I'm going to call you tomorrow... BabyB took a 15 minute nap in the car and that's all I could get him to take. I'm pretty sure I've got bald spots on my head.... Grrr.

I think it took 20 or so minutes. Not too bad… but busier than I thought it would be. I went after work, and got there about 3:40.

The courthouse/county admin voting will be open this Saturday for voting…I think the hours are 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM …the 4:00PM I’m sure about. Someone in line said, “Oh, I just made it. I was worried they would close before I got here. They close at 4:00.” Then she corrected herself and said those hours are Saturday voting hours, and commented she did not know they opened Saturday. :love

I left about 3:10/3:15ish. There was a steady stream of folks heading in.

Yep ... far cry from early voting the past 2 years! :whistle

I'm often the only one there, then as you walk out, maybe someone is walking in. :thumbsup
 
Just be aware that the lines on election day ARE extremely long if you go first thing in the morning or late in the afternoon.
 
Waiting until the 6th, still one issue concerning a proposed homeowers insurance rate hike that is sitting on the NC Commissioner of Insurance desk that he has the choice to table it or let it go futher.....and he IS up for re-election
