I now officially hate Macys.com

I never got any kind of order confirmation of any kind so I can't check on my order but I know they got the order because they took the money for it. I can't get anywhere with the customer service/contact us links on their web page. I have no clue now if they just took the money and never placed the order or what is going on ... and I can't get around their garbage to talk to somebody to find out. Grrrrrrr
 
Get your receipt number and any other tracking and see if they can track it that way. If not, call the credit card company and have them reverse the charge.

No receipt and no tracking anything ... they took the balance off my gift card. I suppose I could call the gift card customer service number but this whole thing is a PITA ... it shouldn't be this hard to get in touch with them.
 
P.S. ALWAYS print the confirmation page or at least write down the number.

The order was placed Saturday afternoon. The only email that I have received is the one saying that I updated my security question.
 
OH! I did not realize you did not get a confirmation page. If the money was taken from the card there is a record. Just call card services and tell them what happened. They will have all the information on the transaction. I am so sorry. I have never once had an issue with Macy's. I am sure it was just a computer fluke! :hug
 
Just figures that I have to deal with this crap ... first time I've ever used their web page. If I didn't live so far away from civilization I would have just gone to a store. At least then I'd have something to show for the money spent.
 
Why is it so hard to get in touch with them, though? Under Customer Service/Contact Us there should be an 800 number listed right there, plan and easy to see. And what about their live chat help? How the heck do you get to that? While I was placing my order the stupid thing popped up ... I see it mentioned all over the help section ... but no link that I can find to get to them. I know glitches happen, technology screws up, but it shouldn't be so hard for customers to get answers. I can't get anywhere on that stinking web page without an order number and I have no order number. Gah!!!

Call this number. 1-800-289-6229. Don't press any numbers, just hold on through the recordings and on the 3rd or 4th run through, it will tell you to press zero to speak to a representative.
