Lawd... I can't breath after reading that lol

I did not say that ya silly however a picture of a beluga whale wearing Black yellow box flip flops popped into my head...ha

A vacation sounds nice about now... It seems like I've spent the past month attending ballet rehersals, birthday parties and graduations for everyone else (and I have one more tonight). A boat out in the middle of the ocean where no one can find me sounds pretty good...... When do we leave??

Winchester that one sounds cool! LTD...um, no. I do not do Carnival.

Why? They treated us wonderful!
Oops, sorry I didn't mean it was bad, exactly, but once you have been on one of the others you will not choose Carnival as your first choice. Now, if someone wants to give me a free Carnival cruise I would not turn it down! :laugh (The ports and activities in port are the same so I would go if offered, I just would not pay when the difference is so little.) The level of service, food, entertainment, rooms, just everything, changes on many of the others.
I do think for the price and especially if you do not even know if you are going to like it, Carnival works for many.

If you ever go on another one, and really for anyone here, you can join cruise critic (free) and meet online a bunch of people that will be cruising with you. They always have a meet and greet once aboard ship and then if you really hit it off with some, you can hang out. We have met a few great couples this way!

I agree with SD. I have been on both. Take a short Carnival cruise that's been discounted to the Bahamas, and you will def. see what we're talking about. Talk about floating trailer park. (This was the Cruise of Misery I mentioned earlier.) And that's being insulting to trailer parks. The foot was terrible, the cabins were awful, and the service was really bad. I did go on a week-long cruise with Carnival years before the short one, and that one was good. But I've just found that other lines have better service, better food, etc. YMMV.

In addition to which, Carnival has had a captain run a ship around and then run away while people were still aboard the ship, another deliberately bypassed a boat with men in need, and one of their ship shore excursions in Mexico was robbed at gunpoint.

I've never used the other companies, so I have nothing to compare too. But aside from a little issue with a surprise monsoon while we were boarding that got some of the luggage wet, they treated everyone like royalty.

The boat we were on was their next to largest; holds 3000 guests and almost 1200 crew. It was spotless clean, they waited on us hand and foot, the cabin was actually larger than I was expecting after all the stories I'd heard, and the entertainment was first class.

I think I would be concerned about some of the smaller ships.

That is what I meant. Until you go on one of the others, you would not know. It is just after you go on others you think, wow, there is a difference! That is what we did. :))

Still jaw dropping that he did that!
