...freakin' tired!

Worked in the yard until 9:30, just now sitting down for the day.

Glad tomorrow is Saturday. 'Course I have a big project tomorrow, but at least I can sleep in a little first.

I will be modifying my air conditioner to pipe virtually all the waste heat into the pool. In other words...free heat for the pool, and makes my A/C more efficient too. I'll let you know how it works.

Yes, I'm brilliant. ;D

If it works, mine is next, I am pretty sure MeiLan wants hers done, after mine. :D

Oh, it will work so long as you don;t have a heat pump. But it isn't a cheap conversion.

I will post stats after I get it working.

Exactly what do you mean by heat pump? :laugh
We have all electric unit with gas backup heat. The gas backup does not work. It is overrode because we do not have gas. (Never have, never will. It has been like that since we moved in. It was done by the installers, not something we did or rigged.)

Then you probably have a heat pump. A heat pump is an A/C that works in reverse.

Yes. That it does.

Yes. That it does.

Won't work as well with my design.

But, there are ways....

Good - then you can do mine first and work on hers at your leisure. Put in a new HVAC system while you're at it. This one is 20 years old. Still works fine (both a/c and furnace), but I know a new system would be way more efficient.

Hey - between you and Colson remodeling my garage (since he's learned all about that with his), Imma be set! ;)

Give miss right-brained girl here the Cliff Notes version on how that would work, sil vous plait...

Speaking of projects ... I need to clear my condensation pump line today. I'm getting a puddle on my basement floor and this does not make me happy.

Clean all that snot out of it.

Pour some bleach in after you clean it.

That line hasn't been cleaned out in the 10 years since it was installed. Somebody needs to talk to the maintenance crew around here. Oh wait ... that'd be me. :))

I darn near ruptured something when I blew that sucker out. (don't say it ... just don't) As for the bleach ... I don't do bleach. Too toxic for me ... any other suggestions?

How do you clear it out? Would vinegar work in the place of bleach? I swear, if duct tape or WD-40 can't fix something, my go-to is vinegar. :D

Gotta take it apart and clean all that goo out. It will seriously look like nasty snot.

Yes, vinegar will help too. Bleach is best though because the chlorine inhibits the growth of that crud.

Gag a maggot. You can take car of that when you install the new system. ;)
