Trump appointed the US Attorney General and the FBI Director. If they were owned by the Clintons, then Trump is really lousy when it comes to hiring people.
He should have started firing people sooner. I suspect he knows that now.
And I should have known this would turn into Trump bashing, everything does.

You can't dismiss the fact that Trump appointed his own US Attorney General (3 in one term) and the FBI Director, all of whom serve at the pleasure of the president. Meaning he could fire any of them anytime he wanted. Those guys were the leaders and responsible for holding those accountable in their departments. If they couldn't establish an investigative task force regarding Russia, Russia, Russia, or the phony ass dossier used against Trump, then they should have never been appointed in the first place. The truth of the matter is Trump most likely didn't want it investigated and exposed. That would have ended all the attention he was getting in the news media because he wanted to keep using it so his name would dominate the news.
