Have y\'all seen the weather reports?

Ya'll better get to the store before they run out of milk, eggs, bread and toilet paper. While you're there, you may want to buy a few bundles of firewood as well. You know how it gets around here when snow is mentioned in the forecast.

I was being funny. I'm not going anywhere if we get any freezing rain.
 
Chesley McNeil said depending on the front that is moving in and the timing of it, we could see 2 inches on Monday and then it will change to freezing rain. Temps will stay in the 30's. Geez, I hope the front decides to stay south of us..I don't want no snow
 
I heard this morning on the radio we could get 1-4" of snow before we get the freezing rain.
 
This storm could be a good thing for me. We have next Friday off because of the federal holiday on Monday. If we get this storm Sunday night/Monday morning, they will close Ft. McPhearson. That would make next week a 3-day work week and the week following a 4-day weekend.

Sad that I will be canceling out on my Monday plans. I don't want to get caught in Atlanta in snow and ice and I don't want to get caught on the road in it. :(

Don't cancel yet. You know Georgia, the weather forecast can change in an instant! I'm hopeful you can still go. I know how much you've been looking forward to it! :)

So when is it suppossed to start? And really how much are they saying. I cant see any news or weather until late tonight. And the computer aint sayin much at all. :-\\
 
from what I just saw on wsb its supposed to start Sunday night and into Monday...right now models are showing maybe 2 to 4 inches with ice following. But they did say that could change at any minute. They are watching the system develop. Said it maybe tomorrow before we really know what it's gonna do
 
It has changed a lot. At first, mixture with chance of dusting. Now they're saying anywhere from 1-2 inches to 5-7 inches here!

There's a chance of flurries tonight with no accumulation. Sunday afternoon, it should start snowing. It will continue into Monday with a mixture of sleet. More snow/sleet into Tuesday morning. Whoa! Everybody be safe on the Highway!

And, no, Fox....no coffee Monday! :)
 
I'm not off everyday. The nice thing about working for the government is all the federal holidays. They turn most of them into 4-day weekends. If we get this storm and the roads are bad on Monday; they will shut Ft. McPhearson down to prevent people from getting into accidents. When that happens, I get paid to be home. I can do work from home though.
