Girlie Things & Such

Beginning at the first of the year I decided to change up my make up, toiletries and such. I have been a Clinique devotee for years. I am still hanging in with their skin care line because I like it so well. I just wanted to try other brands and types of makeup.

I am really liking the MAC lipsticks and lipglasses. They feel marvelous and last nicely.
I am also using some MAC eye shadows and a paint pot. I am using the tinted moisturizer this summer for something light. I am completely sold on MAC. I really like everything I have tried in their lines.

I have tried some Smashbox eye colors and they are ok.
I purchased the Urban Decay Naked eye palette and like it alot. I also like the eye primer that came with it. I also bought an UD eyeliner and use it alot.

I have some Bare Minerals items but have yet to try them.

For the shower I have purchased several items from Lush. I bought the "I Love Juicy" shampoo for my husband b/c he has oilier type hair and it has worked so well for him. I have tried it a couple of times and it rinses out so completely. I got "The Olive Branch" shower gel and Almond & Coconut Smoothie and they have both worked so nicely. I like the Lush line b/c they use organic fruits and vegetables along with very nice essential oils. I have a body butter and a lotion potion but have yet to try them.

I am still using Bath & Body Works shower & lotions tho not as much.

I am going to try some Bobbi Brown & Laura Mercier things this fall. I am looking for a good mascara too.

I have used OPI, Orly nail polishes and Seche Vite top coat but have tried the Zoya polishes, top & bottom coats and am completely sold on Zoya. I love love love their nail polish remover in the pump bottle!

I would love to hear what you are using and how you like it and any suggestions.

Mrs. Colson likes that Low Real stuff and Channel 5 toilet water ;D

i have never liked the way Channel 5 smells on me

I am in love with Trader Joe's Organic Lavender lotion. It smells heavenly. I'm also in love with Aveda's Rosemary Mint body wash.

That's about the extent of it, lol.

Oh, and elf liquid liner in a pot. It's so cheap - $3 - but it is the best eyeliner I've ever used! I was shocked since it was so cheap. Lol

I use Lancome and Kate Spade skin care. (I use Philosophy- Purity with my Clarisonic)
Estee Lauder has a product called Take it Away that takes off eye make up amazingly! No water, not oily.
Foundation (based on season) Estee Lauder liquid mineral or Make Up forever.
For eye brightening if needed Benefit ooh la lift!
For fake brightening Guerlain pearls.
For fake glow I use Laura Geller Bronze n Brighten.
I love the Urban Decay eye primers and eyeliners. (I have all the primers & a good bit of the liners.)
Dior eyeshadows (Can be used wet or dry) or Guerlain
Mascara, Mally or Blinc
I use Mac blush.
Tarte, Lorac, and Lancome lip glosses.

We all love the Lush bar (even the guys) at Macy's! I bought quite a few teachers some gift assortments from there.

I use Ojon Hair products. (for now. That will change, it always does. :)) )

I do stray away at times, but those listed are my go to products.

my dd told me I needed to tone down the blush this morning... sadly it is sunburn

Do you like your Clarisonic & which model do you use? I have been looking at one.

What brand of make up brushes do you use?

Teachers must love the Lush!

I LOVE my Clarisonic. I would never go back to just washing. It is amazing what you leave behind. There are many knock offs on the market, but I would not use any of those. Just me though. :) I have the Classic and the Mia 2.

They did!

I use L'Oreal everything. I used to use Clinique, but I found that L'Oreal works just as well for me.

I don't wear perfume anymore...it seems cloying to me. (But I do still take baths. Every month, whether I need one or not. :D ) I'm irked at Chanel since I found out about Coco's involvement with the Nazis in WWII. I'm weird like that. Took me forever to get over VW and Mercedes and Thyssen-Krupp. :sittingherebeingweird:

Will you hate me when you find out my family brought the kkk to Georgia ( lord, I apologize)

True story... Lawd at the stories

Anywho...

Thanks for reminding me, I need to replace all my cosmetics. How long does that stuff last if you don't open it?

I'm still on a mascara search. The current one is okay, but when I go to buy a new tube, they will have replaced it and the new one won't work. :BH

I found one from Mirenesse, an Australian company, now the place I was getting it doesn't carry it anymore, it costs too much to ship it and I can't justify the cost, but it is the ONLY mascara that has EVER worked perfectly for me.
