This is what I've picked since last Thursday, with the bulk being from today.
Mainly showing off the cukes here, there's 4 different types I've planted this year and all are doing well with about 5 vines of each type.
(I can't remember all 4 types).. lol
(Want to note the seeds are still nice and soft with a bit of crunch, any longer on the vine and they'll toughen up and need de-seeding)
Now, what does one do with all these cukes?
Well in the last pic there's the container sitting to the side, and that can be made up and used to store the cukes for several weeks.
It's:
1 - One part vinegar to 3 or 4 parts water
2 - Salt and peppered to taste
3 - One Raw Onion sliced up and added for flavor
This concoction not only helps preserve the cucumbers for a longer time, but it gives them a zing, and lets you make up a bunch at once, then you can pull it out of the fridge and add the sliced parts to salads, on the side for meals, or whatever.
Enjoy! ;D
