After watching the video, I can certainly understand why they won't prosecute. He was definitely in her face, acting in a hostile manner, and had her backed to the door. This would definitely make most people fear for their personal safety. I personally believe anyone in a school or other public place has the right to protect themselves. It's a bunch of crap when a school thinks otherwise.

I hope the student was punished - if he were my child, he would still be unable to sit on his backside. And, get the child that had the cellphone out in class while you're at it.
