Finally...Rain and Cool

Resident of the least visited state in the nation.
After a miserable, hot week, the high today is supposed to be only 69. I'm cold right now with all the windows open and I'm loving it! Also, we got just a shade over an inch of rain.

I went out to pull weeds, and everything is still muddy! I got around the edges anyway.
 
It's thundering and getting dark here in Cleveland. It was sunny all morning while I was putting the last of the stain on the deck. As soon as I finished, it began to thunder. The radar map shows a small storm cell north of here. Hopefully, it won't rain until tonight if it rains at all. The stain was drying pretty fast though as it was hot and the humidity was really low.
 
It won't be 69 here until October! Then it'll probably stay until Thanksgiving.

I think they removed any number lower than 98* on Virginia's thermometer! :BH

And then it'll be the low. I'm a reptile, but Geez Louise, I'm tired of this heat. We have the blinds on every window turned backwards against the sun (I HATE not seeing out), and I haven't been outside for any length of time in about 10 days. GAH!!!
 
Glad to hear it Waski!

It is getting pretty sad/bad here. There is brown grass everywhere. One of our new trees is looking pretty bad - and we have been deep watering it. The garden, what is left of it, is hanging on by a thread. Mrs. Mac has already lost a couple of rose/azalea bushes.
