....and be quiet, the GOP debate is officially underway. As typical with the GOP they've already blown it during the introduction, evidently the candidates either were not ready to come on stage or they couldn't hear when the moderators called them to come out. Talk about awkward....way to go GOP...very impressive.

Trump is on a roll, just not sure it's a good roll. He's either going to take another jump in the polls or a nosedive.
 
This is petty but I don't like Ted Cruz's speaking style. He just doesn't seem 'real' to me.
 
I wonder how much good this will do. None of them will get must speaking time. I suppose it's a chance for someone to say something worthy of a soundbite...either a good one or a bad one.

I'm just going to wait and read about it tomorrow. At this point, aside from a few I don't like, it's too early for me to be picking anyone, and this format doesn't leave enough room for any kind of substance.

Me too. His voice and mannerisms are like fingernails on a chalkboard to me. And I don't care for much that he says or does either.
 
We made it 5 minutes before a huge fight broke out here.
Wife's gone to the bedroom after saying a few words about me that are not typeable.
I had to turn the channel for safety reasons.
 
I don't like Bush either. Fair or not, he reminds me of his brother who was light years better than the current president but not as conservative as I'd prefer.
 
Trump is an ass. Problem is he's an ass making good points. But I don't trust him to follow conservative principles.

Exactly. He has made some very good points all along. It is TRUMP though! What the heck is wrong with the GOP when Trump is leading in the polls because he at least is saying what we want to hear?

I think a lot of why he's doing in the polls is because he's not trying to be politically correct and he's not afraid of offending the other candidates. He's saying a lot of things a lot of voters want a politician to say without sugar coating it or dancing around it.

Interesting. I am curious as to what my son thinks about him in the debate. I do not like him, but that is more personal than political. We actually have friends in common and my son has met him because of their (son and Walkers) involvement in Boys State and Boys Nation. I actually think that son told me a large number of Presidents/VP's, congress, etc. have been involved in that....groan....

I think that is true. Now only if someone we would like in office would take that lead.
