Okay, y'all may not know this, but I'm a pretty avid coupon user - I love to spend money, but I love saving money even more! Anyway, Ebony magazine usually has a pretty good coupon deals in it from time to time, but never enough to justify getting a subscription or buying the magazine. SO, I ran across a deal where I could get a free year of Ebony magazine with no strings attached and I jumped on it. My first magazine came yesterday. I flipped through it and discovered that there were no coupons this month, but I also noticed something interesting - the only FAMOUS white woman in the magazine was Wilma Flintstone and the only famous white guy was George Lucas (and only because he's in a relationship with a black woman). There were only two other white people in the magazine - both women in hair care ads in the back of the magazine. It's not a big deal, but it made me realize that we haven't come as far as I like to think in my little world... :dunno
