When someone assumes you said something, then proceeds to ream you out about it. Not, even bothering to tell you what you allegedly stated. If it weren't for some really great kids, I would be so outta there.

Yea, I'm usually pretty good about standing up, but this came out of nowhere. It is one of those I should have said something at the time, and now it's too late, and would cause more drama. I know that wouldn't be good for the organization. But, it still hurts.

I detest getting blindsided! Whatever it is...eventually it will be ironed out. The hardest part, for me, is just going on and waiting on the situation to be corrected. In my experience, the offending party usually gets a dose of their own meanness eventually.

Been there, done that and have a closet FULL of t-shirts. I thought about posting something along the same lines a few days ago, but got busy.

This is similar to what I experience at work sometimes. 1 time is too often. I have made it a point in my career to not "jump the gun" and scold an employee until I have ALL, not some, but ALL the facts. I can literally not stand someone who jumps on people without hearing the whole, entire story. Unfortunatlly, that's not the SOP in some places.

It makes it worse when it's a volunteer thing. I'm slowly getting over it, but I know now to just give no real answers.
