Doggy Treats

Some of you think I'm off my rockers about nuking bananas, but look at this recipe. I aquired another Sheltie this past weekend so I have been looking at making some good dog treats from things I have on hand in the kitchen. I even just got some "dog bone" shape cookie cutters. I'll report back tomorrow if my furbabies approved.

(I would leave the bacon out. Can dogs even eat pork? I thought they could not.)

I am thinking about leaving the bacon out. Here's another recipe that has canned pumpkin. From what I understand pumpkin is tasty and good for the digestive system in dogs

Yea! Mine loves pumpkin! It is her favorite flavor. Those natural treats are not cheap so I am willing to make some. I don't know why I did not think of that before. )

This is my first attempt. I would imagine making a big batch to leave a few out and freeze the rest

and I'll add that the chef will be having a couple of drinks during the prep, cooking, and cooling off process opcorn
