Do you ever...

Hear strange noises outside, and you're not sure what they are, but it sounds like it might be bad? And you're not sure exactly where they're comming from? So you look at the clock to see what time it is in case the cops come to see if you heard any noises because they're investigating a crime?

Me neither....

Hilarious, because I do that. Not so much waiting for if the police came, but in case I hear it again. I will know how long is was since I last heard it. :dunno
Come to think of it, I look at the clock when the phone rings, when someone knocks at the door, when my son leaves, etc...darn you have found another of my compulsive habits. Thanks a lot!

I'm thinking a man is cutting his grass, and his wife is screaming at him. But it sounds like its in the next 'hood over. Not sure.... But the dogs are going nuts around here. LOL I read way too many true crime novels. :laugh

My BFF is a Nightline and 20/20 watcher. Every time something happens or a story is told she has a horrific true story to tell us of what could have happened!

I watch those, too. But I love to read about forensics, and the cases they surround. I do not care to hear of the grisly details - if that makes sense. I am always curious as to how people get caught, and why they did it. I have read all of Anne Rule's books - she's the best at that. There are some others as well.

Have you read the one titled 'Everything She Ever Wanted? Lifetime did a movie as well but it was not authentic. Ann Rule did an excellent job with the book. The lady that this book is written about taught me how to ride and in my youth I thought she hung the moon and spent many years at her farm. In my late teens I realized just what a psycho she really is. When the book came out, I was afraid my name would be in it, but thank goodness it was not.

I remember telling my dad back when all this was going on that I should write a book. Anne beat me to it!

Yes! I did! It was one of the first AR books I read - very, very strange (for lack of a better word). That is crazy you took lessons from her. Actually, it makes me want to read it again. Lol

At the time I considered her my second mom. My real mom hated her and I never could understand why at the time being young and a horse lover. lol, read it again. Her son Ronnie and daughter Debbie (who was my best friend at the time) have since died. Ronnie from a car accident and Deb from cancer. Pat's mom also died from lung cancer. Of course Pat is still alive. I read where she was busted in Fayette County for doctor shopping. Anne did a fabulous job in her description of all the characters and the facts.

I do want to read it again now. It has been years... I remember it, and I couldn't put it down. We went to Destin to see the in-laws and I had my nose in it the whole way there, and the beach, and finished it before we left.

Let's just say that I once googled Bigfoot and Paulding County...

Too funny. We were telling the kids about this the other day. There's a place near our house where we all look every time we pass. We've all seen "something" there.

And Mrs. B...I do that ALL the time. I've even been known to take notes with details. :ninja

You laugh, but I still don't like driving down Austin Bridge Road at night...

I'm a man who sleeps with his doors unlocked and windows open. I don't have functional screen doors in this house, but I used to sleep with just screen doors in the old house. Without air conditioning, you tend to do this!

Noises at night don't bother me much. I can recall only 1 time: I was 13 or 14 and listening to horrible screams of what I realized was a rabbit, probably being tortured by the neighbor's cat. But, when I'm asleep, I do know I wake up with strange notions, not totally awake. I don't think clearly when it's late: I can always tell the next day when I posted something late at night. Sounds frequently wake me up.

I have considered sleeping in the summer down in the basement in my "guest bed." My friends up north have me bunk with their son in the basement when I stay there. His bedroom is in the basement and I find that I always oversleep. In my new house, my parents stayed this spring and my mother remarked that she hasn't slept so well since she was a kid. I'm thinking I should sleep in the basement.

So, late night babbling, but have you considered sleeping in the basement so that the noises don't bother you?

Haha! I have googled Bigfoot in Pauldig before. I hard a crazy animal call late one afternoon and it shared me to death. It was loud, horrifying, and the trees were thrashing about!

Waski, I would sleep in the basement but I don't have one. Lol IDK why. Every house on my street in this section of the 'hood has one but me.

The only thing I have learned from all the crime shows we watch is.... there is no perfect murder. Sometimes I want to commit the perfect murder but know I will get caught... :jk

I sleep with ear plugs to keep the snoring of the hubster from waking me up. He has woken to storms and other weird noises. Not me!!
