Democratic strategists are launching a new effort through the Democratic National Committee to counter third-party presidential candidates, who they see as the "single biggest threat" in electing Donald Trump.

So far, the polls indicate Bobby Jr. hurting Biden more than Trump; whenever he is introduced into a poll, Trump's lead increases.

Certainly, it's still early, so things could change.

I suspect this is just the Democrats starting to downplay their chances. They know they are in trouble.
