Chick Fil A

Can't believe we haven't discussed this.

Chick Fil A closes on Sunday in order to conform to their own values and everyone wants to act surprised when the president states he supports traditional marriage.

On August 1 there is a movement to support Chick Fil A.

On August 3 there is a movement to have a same sex kiss at Chick Fil A.

But, the craziest thing I've seen is the one saying that CFA has violated their own Christian principles by serving pork. (Obviously, from someone who doesn't realize that the Lev. verse they quote is a Jewish law.)

If they do the same sex kissing it will be disruptive in my opinion. It will cause more harm than good to the cause they support. I think a business person should have a right to his own views. He never said there should be any difference made in customers.

The spokesman for CFA passed away today.

That's sad. :(

Dan Cathy delivered his opinion in a respectful manner. There isn't any discrimination by the company. There are companies who support Planned Parenthood. You don't see me throwing a fuss. Although I haven't made any Komen donations recently.

Wonder if he felt stressed about the big deal some folks wanted to make over a man's personal opinion and beliefs? PC gone amuck once again in my opinion.

Funny, Obama said the same thing in 2008. No one boycotted him with their votes.

I've never seen one of these. They must not be in North Dakota (or else not in the small towns I usually go to).

I think it's silly for businesses to get into politics, for reasons that this has demonstrated, but I don't hold it against a business. What really scares me about this whole thing is that certain mayors are jumping into the fray and talking about banning the restaurant in their cities. This is a frightening level of discrimination and I'm not entirely sure how legal it is.

Let people have their silly protests. Let people boycott. But let's not have the heavy hammer of government strike down against a certain viewpoint. That is very dangerous territory.

In their defense, he was being interviewed and was asked the question. I believe he answered honestly and respectfully from his companies standpoint. I don't think he intended it as political.

The Mayor of Boston has now recanted.

We don't really do fast food but when we want something quick I do like to go to CFA because their food is good (for fast food) and they close on Sunday. I love to support them and am happy to with this latest goings on.

My gay and I had chick Fil a the other day together... He agrees with me

Nobody is gonna believe 100% the same way... He will just have a belly full of their chicken biscuit that we all think is laced it crack because it is so good. When he discusses it. They do employ gay people, they just want be catering their weddings lol

Mr Cathy is old school and was raised in those times where certain behavior and lifestyles were unheard of.

Sin is sin is sin is sin... One sin is not greater than another sin.... If you think a certain thing is a sin then is your sin of being judgmental and harsh to someone any different.

I choose not to bash others for their life style, I simple choose to lead by example. Once you stop worrying about what is happening under other peoples roofs and focus on what is going on under yours your life gets a lot better... I use to be one of e preachy, bitchy it's my way or no way, I would judge you before I knew you then talked about you kinda people... I saw I was a truly ugly person inside and did some major changes. I use to be a stuffy person... Change was good for me

Anyway.. I want a number 1 now with a diet dr pepper for breakfast ... Maybe the hustler will go get me one cause I don't wanna put on pants just yet

I'm really tired of this CFA stuff. I totally agree with Waski. But, I posted about it on FB the other day and hurt some feelings.

People have selective memory and are biased because he is a black democrat. I call them "Biggots". Hey, if they want to dish it out, they can take it, right?

I like this blog.
http://jenhatmaker.com/blog/2012/07/27/in-the-basement#.UBPQh9LicjK.facebook

Mayor Bloomburg, also a supporter of gay rights, condemned the statements, saying “cities should not ask about political beliefs before issuing a permit.” Of course they shouldn’t. Where would it end? The CEO of the Phoenix Suns is gay; shall we all boycott their basketball games or deny their right to play in the public sphere? Is it time to quiz small-business owners on their positions on gun control, abortion, and immigration reform, and decide if their companies are “welcome in our cities”?

Because this will swing every way, you know. Perhaps Chick-Fil-A is banned in Boston, but we will also stand by if a Muslim business owner is banned from operating in Huntsville, Alabama? Mark Zuckerberg is an atheist; should Christians all delete their Facebook accounts? This affront to democracy is infinitely more dangerous than a CEO with an opinion, which, if you’ve ever paid attention, we are supposed to have the freedom to hold and express in this country without threat of commercial retribution.
