Stunt Driver
I have an interview on Thursday. A company that’s been courting me for a while. I’m just seriously struggling with whether or not to change jobs again. My current company is falling apart. We’re having a huge exodus of staff, but I do have great flexibility. There’s just such little focus and I’m not sure if the writing is on the wall. We’re financial sound, but really lack a lot in the sales team.
The other company is also great, but it’s your typical ‘big company’. Publicly traded, leader in the industry, etc. But do I really want to go back to that type of bureaucracy? I’m unfulfilled and unfocused, but I’m also getting tired in my old age. I’m really teetering on just going out on my own, but to do that my husband has to get a job – and he wants to flip houses.
I want to help him live his dream, but I also am exhausted. I could easily make 30% or more as a consultant, but I need the stability of medical insurance, etc. This will require him to get a job. So, stay in high growth/poor management, move to being a corporate slave, or tell my husband that I’m going to start contracting full time?
