I have been obsessed with burritos all summer and experimenting with many different recipes over the past few months.

Beef burritos, smothered bean burritos, mojo pork burritos, chile colorado burritos, chicken burritos, breakfast burritos, etc.


What is your favorite burrito and where does it come from ? ? ?
 
My 19 year old must be hanging out with you. Lately, he wraps everything in a tortilla, instead of making a sandwich.

Yesterday, he made a meatball burrito for his lunch.

My aunt used to make the best burritos......she was from New Mexico. She'd get them all made and rolled up (beef and salsa) then put them in the oven to bake.......yummy!!
 
I had a grilled, coconut crusted, red snapper burrito the other day that was to die for. It was more about the fish and less about the whole burrito experience though.

But my absolute FAVORITE burrito is a Carne Asada burrito from any of the 24 hour taco joints in san Diego. My personal fave was Juanberto's. They always had tons of carne asada, guacamole, and maybe some queso. I can barely eat half in one sitting because they weigh about 2 pounds. We went back to San Diego this past April just to eat at as many Taco joints as we could. I think we topped out at 8 in 5 days.
