British PM David Cameron speaks about multiculturalism

This statement of his is very true in this country.

So, when a white person holds objectionable views, racist views for instance, we rightly condemn them. But when equally unacceptable views or practices come from someone who isn’t white, we’ve been too cautious frankly – frankly, even fearful – to stand up to them.

We see this very same thing happening in our country; especially with liberals. How many times have we heard liberals claim that black people cannot be racists because they are victims of racism? Look at how many liberals are bending over backwards to take Christianity out of the public place, but keep saying we need to be tolerant of those who have Islamic beliefs.

I agree with this statement he made.

We must ban preachers of hate from coming to our countries. We must also proscribe organisations that incite terrorism against people at home and abroad. Governments must also be shrewder in dealing with those that, while not violent, are in some cases part of the problem. We need to think much harder about who it’s in the public interest to work with.

Our own state department has approved visas of Muslim clerics who are known to be promoters of hate towards the US. Now why in the world should we allow anyone to tour our country to promote hatred for it? The answer my friends is the liberal need to appease these groups. "We don't want them to hate us." Look at how many liberals in this country believe our foreign policies were the cause of 9/11.
 
America cannot continue to go down this path of politcal correctness. It will surely be the destruction of this country. When we can't identify ideas or people as anti American without the threat of someone labeling us, then where is the future taking us? The left and its internal destruction of this country cannot be left unchanllenged for the fear of being labeled by these people. I for one will call it like I see it. Some may see if differently but that doesn't mean I'm wrong. It is quite clear what the agenda of the muslim people is and for the life of me, I don't understand why most people turn a blind eye to them. Just because they come across as aggressive minded killers doesn't mean we stick our heads in the sand hoping they'll just leave us alone. If the court of public opinion is swayed to believe that these people are a peace loving group, then our country will be eaten from the inside out. The only true representation of the trouble our country is in is found on web sites of people who have experienced it first hand and now are trying to warn us as a people. Saudi money is buying up chunks of land around DC while Deerborn Michigan is practically shut down 5 times a day for prayer meetings. Sharia Law is trying to get a foothold in our courts to supercede our own constitution. Folks, you need to wake up and see how detrimental this behavior and interpretations are to our fabric of society. Don't let it get too late.
 
I agree with much of what he says.

I also think that "multiculturalism", as espoused in the UK and also Australia – probably less so in the US, is not really working. Societies need normative values and practices to function properly; the trick is to have those normative values but nevertheless accept that some people will live differently. Merely encouraging people who come from a different culture not to assimilate into their new society at all (which is what the further reaches of multiculturalism proposes) does not work well, imho.
 
Multiculturalism is thriving in the US and it's all to the ideology of the left.
