[Baseball] Jose Fernandez (Marlins pitcher) killed in boat crash

I think 3 total died in the boating accident. Dude must have been hauling some serious butt. Always sorry to hear about the loss of life.
 
Saw the video and photos from the scene of the Fernandez accident, and it appears that he tried to cut the turn into the channel short and hit the jetty. The jetty he hit was the outside of the north jetty, and that north side of the channel and inlet is marked with a lighted red buoy (red right returning). The buoy looks to be about 50-100 feet out from the tip of the jetty. He cut between the buoy and the shore, maybe 200 feet inside the buoy, hitting the jetty and flipping the boat. The boat landed on the rocks, stern down and deck against the rocks. No way that would be survivable. Very sad accident.

Read this morning that a bag of four, Fernandez autographed, baseballs washed up on shore.

A). I wonder if it really happened, and B). if so, what are they worth now!

If it happened, they aught to put them on EBAY one at a time,,, and give the money to charity.
