Atlanta Braves 2017

More on Acuna: http://www.ajc.com/sports/baseball/...o-homers-braves-sweep/OECNQZJg0RRrDQSnurGp5K/

It took two days, but Ronald Acuna got his 18th home run of the season. The Gwinnett Braves outfielder homered on Tuesday in a game at Scranton/Wilkes-Barre. However, rain forced the game to be suspended and it resumed on Wednesday as the G-Braves went on to a 9-4 victory to make the Acuna home run official.

It took Acuna much less time to hit his 19th home run.

Acuna hit another home run in the nightcap of the Class AAA sweep of the RailRiders with a three-run blast in the fifth inning. For the day, he went 5-for-10 with five RBIs.

In the opener, Acuna delivered his sixth home run as a member of the G-Braves in a four-run third inning. Acuna, who finished the game 3-for-6, also hit three home runs in Advanced-A and nine home runs at Class AA. Also, third baseman Rio Ruiz went 3-for-4 with three RBIs in the G-Braves win.

The G-Braves took the nightcap, shortened to seven innings, 4-1. Acuna went 2-for-4 with four RBIs. Pitcher Matt Wisler left the second game in the seventh inning with a hand injury.

I'm a Braves fan, no doubt. But I must admit that this has been the first year that I haven't watched a complete game. Not even a partial game in the last 2 months. :(

Braves won not one, but two games today.

Also, yes, they are still playing and no, Who didn't play first base. :D

Braves just traded Brandon Phillips to the Angels for a catcher's mitt (a minor league catcher was included too but he's irrelevant). Brandon has been very good for the Braves but I'm surprised he wasn't traded earlier to get more in return.

The Queen saw that this morning and she's not happy about it. Poor Freddie, stuck on a sub-par team who trades all his help.

Of course they did. It took me all season to figure out who these guys were, and every time I think to myself "he's a pretty good player, the Braves can really use him"...BAM he's gone like a cold beer on a hot Sunday afternoon.

The Braves season is finally over. It was a little better than last year (72 wins vs 68 in 2016).

There will likely be lots of changes before the first game next year. There is speculation that Snitker may not be back as manager (if not, rumor is Ron Washington would take his place). Losing 6 of the last 7 probably doesn't help Snitker's case.

Now that baseball season is over....Go Falcons! :runaway:
