Arthur Allen Jr. House of Prayer

I saw on the news tonight that the Rev. Arthur Allen Jr, pastor of The House of Prayer in Atlanta is under investigation again by LE for child abuse.
Some may remember that Rev. Allen served 2 years around 10 years ago for similar type charges.

Let me say that I have no idea what went on or goes on in that church.
But I did work with Arthur Allen back in the early or mid 80's and found him to be intense but very nice guy.
He invited me several times to his church, The House of Prayer, and I did attend one service.
My memory is that it was a nice service, friendly people and a good sermon.
I always liked Arthur and hated to hear that he apparently had condoned or did some things that he shouldn't have or were illegal.

Please know that I am in no way saying that because I liked Arthur and enjoyed that one service that I am implying that he is not capable of committing the offenses he has been and may be accused of committing.
I have no clue as to the truth is on those things.

I also used to play golf with a great guy.
Lot's of fun and a really nice, easy going person.
He plead guilty to molesting his wife's (by the time the case came to court it was ex-wife) daughter who was around 11 years old.
Like I said, a nice guy, really fun to play golf with, easy going fellow, to all but one little girl.
All she knew was an evil man.

So I know that the when people say, they couldn't have done that (whatever that is), sometimes we truly don't know what really is in people's hearts.

On a lighter note, our "busybody" cat has gotten behind a drawer at my wife's desk and is too fat to get back out.
Guess I will pull the drawer out for him so he can escape.
Or like Pooh, I could wait till he loses weight and can get out on his own.
Nah, I pulled the drawer out.

Megadittos. There are always signs, esp. to those closest to them, but people on the periphery can't accurately judge stuff like this.
