...it was really nice to receive this email response from a long-time customer after spending several hours on conference call with her last night resolving an issue with one of their shipments which was inadvertently overloaded by almost 4,000lbs leaving a driver stranded at a weigh station at the MI / OH line:

I want to say thank you from the bottom of my heart. I know what you all do is not easy and can be so very stressful. I want you to know that I truly appreciate everything you have done over the years and continue to do each day for (company name) and for me personally. You have helped me learn and grow and taught me so much over the years I really don't know where I would be without you. You really are a light on a the dark days. God has blessed me to be able to work with you. There really are no words to express how much I appreciate you all.

Knowing our efforts are appreciated makes those stressful moments tolerable. Logistics is a demanding and often ugly industry but also a necessary and sometimes rewarding one. This is one of those times, especially knowing this was sent at 7:15 a.m. on a Saturday morning, her off day.

Very nice. Too often; we only hear from the pissed off customers, so it's nice to get positive feedback now and then.
