106.7 Bring Back The Music ! ! !

My radio selections are controlled by the princess. I listen to two radio stations - 104.7 and Disney Radio. I started listening to 104.7 when I started bringing her into Atlanta with me for daycare and preschool - the stuff they say on other stations isn't fit for a child to hear. When I got the Highlander, it came with free XM radio so we could listen to Disney Radio. I'm not sure when the free XM runs out, but since the hubby does the a.m. princess drop off and I just have her for the afternoon ride, I'm not inclined to start paying for it. I will listen to WSB in the afternoons on bad traffic days, but I had to stop listening to Hannity - I usually agree with him, but he adds too much stress to my life!!

I do have to admit that I enjoy the peace and quiet of my drive so there are many, many days when I don't listen to the radio (not even for traffic). :dunno

The only terrestrial radio I listen to is NPR. Until this week. I knew the switch was coming and I can't be happier about it. Live news gives me a sense of security. Like I'm connected with the world. It's a similar feeling to what I imagine folks felt when they first heard radio. Like those people in the middle of nowhere that were suddenly hearing the Grand Ole Opry. This format of 24 hour news is right up my alley. I love it.

24 hour news drives me crazy - instead of security, it usually leaves me depressed.
