Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis (R) is set to publish a memoir next year amid increasing speculation that he will run for the White House and challenge former President Trump for the GOP nomination.

The memoir, titled “The Courage to Be Free: Florida’s Blueprint for America’s Revival,” is set to be released in late February by HarperCollins Publishers’s Broadside Books. It will detail the Florida governor’s formative years and time serving in the military and government.

Trump's recent attacks on DeSantis also lend to speculation he's running.

I think DeSantis will be far more electable than Trump. but I am concerned about the war that will almost certain be fought within the GOP.

I don't think it will be anything different than when he sought the nomination in 2016 when Trump decided to go to war with the candidates also seeking the nomination. Trump ran the dirtiest and nastiest campaign in a primary I ever saw. He will do that again.

By 2-1, GOP and GOP-leaning voters now say they want Trump's policies but a different standard-bearer to carry them. While 31% want the former president to run, 61% prefer some other Republican nominee who would continue the policies Trump has pursued.

They have a name in mind: Two-thirds of Republicans and those inclined to vote Republican want Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis to run for president. By double digits, 56% to 33%, they prefer DeSantis over Trump.
