Nearly half of Americans have worn the same pair of underwear for two or more days, according to a survey by apparel maker Tommy John.
Out of 1,000 people responding to an informal poll conducted by the underwear maker, 45% admitted they had worn the same pair of undies for two or more days, with 13% saying they had worn the same pair for a week or more, Tommy John said.

Backpacking only. Then 2 days max. I would wash it out if I crossed a stream and hang it off my pack to dry. Always 3 pair in a backpack. I'll wear jeans until the stand up by themselves, but gotta have clean undies.

If anything, I'm a hygiene freak. I bathe twice daily, always new socks and underwear, a clean shirt every day. I'll wear a pair of jeans for a couple of days if I don't get hot and sweaty, but that's it. I don't like to stank.
 
Maybe I'm weird but I never even thought of using a towel more than once until a few weeks ago I saw an article about it.
 
While in the Army, we used to go to the field quite a bit for anywhere between 10 to 30 days. We could go take a shower every three days, so that's when I usually changed my undies. I use the same towel for no more than three days.
 
Shower at least once a day, underwear/socks everyday, jeans wear 1-5 times depending on if dirty or not, dress pants (do not own any), shirt everyday, towel 3-5 days, wash cloth 3-5 days.
