We're experiencing some problems

Forum was down last night and at least twice today. When using Firefox, the new post button sometimes wants to download a php file instead of opening new posts. Chrome seems to work OK.

It might stem from a bug in the recent update. Rolltide is on this and it will hopefully be fixed soon.

Thanks for your patience.

Yeah unsure why Firefox has the issue so for now just don’t use it :)

My new laptop should be in soon after I smashed my old one while attempting to get the page loaded.

These kinds of issues are a bit hard to track down as I loaded up Firefox this morning and I am not having or experiencing the same issues.

I was just kidding. I use Firefox and never noticed an issue last night or this morning.

OK, if you're still having trouble, clear all the history in your browser and try again. It appears that when the host was having issues, it could have cached a bug.

Everything seems OK for now.

Rolltide and I are looking at a forum upgrade. We'll post a notice before starting the upgrade because there will be a little down time from it.

Any chance for some new themes/styles? Now that the Stylish Chrome add-on is no more I'm reminded how much I dislike the built-in themes.

The new version is much cleaner and sharper than what we're currently using. I'm looking at it now on the test site.

Rolltide will have to answer about themes

Most themes with the new version are not free so we will most likely stick with the color themes we have.

If I remember correctly:
xenforo
Is the software that this forum uses:

https://www.hobby-machinist.com/threads/five-cylinder-radial-with-ohc.34815/

I have a metal working machine shop in my basement... I have been on this forum for many years...
They did an upgrade a while back... it is a nice software package... albeit a bit 'busy' with features.
Some folks like all that stuff...
Me... I just want it to be dependable!!!

One of my primary forums is on VB software... which is archaic IMO... however it IS dependable (it always works).

I'll pay for this one (https://xenfocus.com/demo.php?style=ortem) if y'all are willing to install it. Cool thing is it lets everyone change the colors. Is Xenforo running version 1.x now? If so, is the upgrade to 2.x?
We are going to version 2.x as we are on 1.5.x right now. If you want to pay for a style I will install it for you. That is very awesome of you to do that. 2.x is much cleaner with the only downside being that a lot of good add-ons and styles cost money now.

Well, the version on that forum (if it's the one I think you're referring to) is archaic. And we mods have griped and griped, but the bean counters won't budge.

YUP... 'THAT' one... grin!

They tell us users... they cannot do anything due to loosing the history...
But the forum crashed and was offline for almost a month... and they lost 4-5 mos of history...
And in the process conveniently lost a bunch of political stuff that was embarrassing to the left and MSM...

One thing about VB... it is as simple as a model T... yet more dependable.
