I understand some of the reasoning behind aid to other countries. Besides humanitarian; it can sometimes be in our best interest to keep the country reasonably secure and prevent government takeovers.
But it seems to me that if we really want or need to get involved, we'd help them build a strong economy and defense force instead of just throwing money at them.
Kinda like here; we throw money at poor people instead of helping them to better themselves.
Both just welfare that perpetuates the problem.

If they become concerned about humanitarian needs, they can start assisting with the wall payment. It's their people, not ours. Maybe they will develop a Mexico First policy of their own and put people before politics like Trump has us.
