Weekend!!

I'll start this one off! So glad it is here!

Tonight - The wife and I hit the road for Ft Walton Beach for the weekend.
Saturday - Sleep in after the long drive. Bowling tournament starts at 1PM. Team event. Beach time after that.
Sunday - AM beach time. Bowling Tournament Singles and Doubles starts at 1PM. Driving home after that.
Monday - I am off as we were originally staying Sunday night but we wanted to be home for our youngest's first day of college.
 
Tonight - Date night with "She who adores me". Watching Avengers Endgame

Saturday - Sleep in, then chores

Sunday - AM church, then not sure

I'm from Rossville, which is just across the state line from Chattanooga.

Rock City is absolutely gorgeous! Ruby Falls is pretty cool. Some years ago, we went to the Tennessee Valley Railroad Museum, and had a great time.

Go northward a bit to The Lost Sea, it's one of my favorite places ever. The Cave stays a constant 58 degrees, so that would be a great place to go on a hot day. Make sure you're up to all the walking, though.

The Aquarium is very nice, and the business district around it is quite nice with lots of shops and restaurants. But don't go outside of that because you'll get into a bad part of town. Also an IMAX right by the aquarium.

Lots of civil war history in the area and just south in Chickamauga Battlefield. I was actually born in a hospital at the entrance of the battlefield.

Actually Saturday and Sunday are different for retired folks, because that is when we stay away from the box stores and shopping centers, as that is when the work-a-day folks are plugging things up and using my parking space!!!
Hoorah for Mondays,,, we get the stores all to ourselves again!!!
