Sounds like a fun, but busy, day! You should post "a day in my life". :))

Saturday..

My morning started out with being woke up by the phone at 7 am with artist management telling us our"star" is gonna miss the flight because his phone died over night and Shawn uses his phone as an alarm.. yeah! So the manager decided to come on down on the flight we booked and then come back a few hours later and get Shawn.

We picked up Shawn McDonalds manager who was a very nice guy and then took him to Lake Lanier Islands to the boat house we got for them. He said the people at theFish are awesome cause this is the nicest place anyone has put them. After we dropped off his bags we went to the venue where the vowel renewal was gonna be. We sat up had to put up 500 chairs, get the food and place decorated.

When Shawns flight got here Chad and the manager just went to get him cause i was in my decorating mode still had to pick up the cakes from Publix.

The crew I sent with a list and pictures and the station credit card got most the stuff I needed but the table clothes did not match and where not the colors we sent them to get. My hubbys asst. stated freaking out cause we were gonna be a tacky rainbow of tables ...lol. They did however get the gray right for the merch table that was far away from the wedding cake tables. We did not have time to go back to the store so I went to the hotel and got sheets and used the red plastic table clothes as runners. It turned out fabulous. We set a drink station up with pink table clothes and again tuned out amazing.

After that we all were hungry ( chad was still at the airport) so we all went to lunch...all 9 of us took over the Zaxby's in Buford. We were in a hurry but took time to pray over our food. I asked one of the young guy interns to bless our food. We were spread out over 6 tables. He just stands up and asked everyone to bow their heads so he can bless the food. EVERYONE IN THERE DID IT!!! EVERYONE, even the workers and people ordering lol It was kinda cool

Our next stop is Publix to get the cake and some odds and ends. I go to get the flowers and Chad's Asst goes to get the cakes she ordered Tuesday that were suppose to be done by 2..It was 3 soooo we thought we were good. While ME and another girl are picking out flowers Chad's Asst came up to me in almost tears. She is Like "Beth, the cakes are not done. they are on the last one but the others are PURPLE with spirals and pink hearts with a big plastic teddy bear in the middle" I am looking at her like she has lost her mind.

I leave her to finish my list while I go deal with the cakes. The words she told me did not describe how horrible these cakes were. Under the big plastic teddy bears it had HAPPY VOW RENEWAL 104.7 THE FISH... they were BAD. The decorated said she didn't know what they were for(VOW RENEWAL should of gave her a hint, just sayin) We asked for wedding like sheet cakes... so at this point it was 3:15 and the people start arriving at 5..kinda stressed. The manager came over and was like OMG... We will get this fixed give us an hour and a half so we can scrap the cakes and get it fixed. Having an mini attack I was like ok... what else could I do?

SO we are heading back , we all were spread out in 3 cars. One of the Fish Vehicles have a blow out. Thankful a nice person saw it and pulled off and changed our tire for them. We got back on the road and stop at the guard gate to see smoke coming out of a window and a girl laying face down on the ground half inside and half outside. The Fish FUn Crew stepped into action( yep. Chad is still trying to get to us from the airport, there was road work) 2 of the girls that were in front of us got to her first and started carring her inside the guard house, At this point I take off running cause someone is saying she was dead.

The young lady working the guard gate went into a bad seizure. We couldn't figure out how to work the phone so we just called 911 from our cells. Working with Special needs kids in the past I was trained for this so we got her in the position and at this point 911 was on speaker phone walking them through what to do. I finally call our contact with lake lanier and tell them what is going on and they send some people.

We figured out why the phone didn't work because the fire had melted the cord. It was cold and the young lady had a small personal heater on the desk. She decided to do some cleaning and sat the paper towels down on her desk without thinking about the heater. She went to the bathroom, came back and saw the paper towels were on fire, panicked and went into a seizure. After about 10 minutes she came out of it and started talking. We left her with paramedics and her boss. Praise God the young lady in her early 20's was ok!!!

At this time it was a tad past 4 and we all were in panic mode. Yep, Chad is still stuck in traffic. SO Chad's asst asked me if I could handle the cake while she changes and get ready for our guest. I was like sure. I didn't mind.

SO it is 4:30 at this point and our guest come at 5. I grab my favorite intern and we go back to publix. I have my husbands work credit card in tow. We get to publix and they are waiting for us cause I called ahead and told them if they can kinda meet us so we can load 6 full sheet cakes into the SUV. WHile we are loading I sent the intern in to pay the $500 tab with the card. The cakes were BEAUTIFUL and I was in shock how awesome they turned out from what they were. They just used the same cakes but scraped everything off which sounded messy and scary to me.

At this point it is 4:50 and the intern was in there for 10 minutes already. The credit card was rejected. American Express had put a fraud alert on there because in a 3 hour time span we put 7,000 on it lol. Chad wasn't answering his phone because they just arrived at the venue and they had to rush to get ready and everyone in place. I ended up calling the GM of the station and he gave me his corp card number... It is like 5:15

We get back to Lake lanier unload the cakes. Get dressed with 10 minutes to spare before everything started.

Everything looked and seemed wonderful and flawless. It was like we had no issues at all. Our guest had no clue of all the running around we did.

NOw it is clean up time. We cleaned up and took the Shawn and his manger out to eat with all the gang. Shawn was amazed at everything we have done today and could not believe how cool everyone was at the ceremony. We eat and everyone leaves to go home except for Chad and I.

At 11:30pm we take Shawn back to his lake house. On our way back the radio was cut down but I could see the song title that was playing. The station was 90's on 9 on sirus radio. It was Whoop, There it is. I turn it up and start singing and car dancing while Chad gives me the stank eye. Shawn, without missing a beat goes full ghetto rap on us... it was AWESOME!!!! So after that we were all having a ball on this like 20 minute car ride.

We get to the house and you can see your breath inside. The heat was out. We called and they moved them finally at 1 am. Thankfully we had a limo service coming to pick them up at 10 am so we didnt have to drive back out there. We filled my car up 3 times on saturday... yes 3 times.Thankfully The radio station bought my gas that day

SUNDAY

We woke up and went to church

Left Ashlyn at church with friends and got her back about 9pm

Chad and I went to lunch with a friend that just moved down here last week from texas and went apartment hunting with him. I really enjoyed looking at apartments in the city.... very cool places

Chad and I came home and watched The Walking Dead and then went to bed
