So, we have built our 1st set of 2 gardens. Raised beds and "screening" to keep the damnedable Danes out. They are BEAUTIFUL!! I am just so excited. Our maters have flowers, broccoli has flowers, green bean seeds are a poppin', squash, zuc and cucs are about to flower. O.M.G. Did I tell y'all how excited I am?!!!? :cheer1 :cheer1 Here is a pic of one of them...

Well, mine are of the 4 legged, land lubbing variety.... but yes.


This is not about my dogs. WE HAVE A GARDEN AND WE WORKED VERY HARD ON IT AND I AM SO VERY PROUD!!!!! :cheer1

I wish I had the time to plant one. Actually, keeping up with it is the problem. I typically go 12+ hours a day through the week, so maintaining it would be tough.

We always kept a HUGE garden when I was young, my dad taught me how to grow. I could probably have a nice one if there was time. Maybe someday when I get as old as Mac and Fox. :))
 
I have my cool little greenhouse and my three small raised beds and I've done nothing this year. :( Several years ago we made a compost bin from some old pallets and a little shed for potting.

Congratulations! The garden looks great!

Percentage wise, you've already caught up.

I enjoy the taste and fun. And really, besides the start-up, it doesn't take that long. 'course it depends on how big and elaborate - and I can only guess what the GD garden would look like!
 
Thanks, y'all! We are just thrilled that all those wheel barrow (50+) trips to fill them worked out. I cannot wait to eat my first veggie. We are already sampling the herbs we planted.

Each row would be exactly straight and he would have electronic monitoring systems (including infrared cameras for night vision) to make sure critters didn't bother it, and electronic feeding and watering systems. Prolly an electronic harvesting system, too. :D

Cheezy - great garden. You will be thrilled when stuff starts coming in!
