I've been watching the hearings. It's now pretty clear that the top generals advised Biden to leave the 2500 troops there, but he made the decision to cut and run anyway. Biden is either lying about it now or his mental condition is too bad for him to remember what really happened.

Blood is on his hands. he should not be allowed to remain in office.

These generals all serve at the pleasure of the president who can fire them from their positions. The WH was banking on the generals keeping their mouths shut in fear of being fired if they contradicted what the president was saying. Now that it comes out what the generals really told him, the WH is trying to spin it as the generals were split on troops remaining in Afghanistan. The only generals qualified to discuss Afghanistan with the president would be Milley who is chairman of the Joint Chiefs and McKenzie who is the commanding general of CENTCOM.

ETA If either general were to be fired now, it would be apparent to the public they were fired for telling the truth. The backlash for the WH would be tremendous.

Funny how in just 6 months most people forget a headline. Well here's a refresher article which
may shed some light on why the "pull-out" (a more fitting description than withdrawal) happened
the way it did. The Taliban have suddenly (in only 6 months) decided to change their image. You
know, just like FB did when it changed to Meta. Their playing nice now and are very concerned
about women's education and opportunity.

(Does anyone honestly believe it)

It's about the money:
He urged Washington and other nations to release upward of $10 billion in funds that were frozen when the Taliban took power Aug. 15, following a rapid military sweep across Afghanistan and the sudden, secret flight of U.S.-backed President Ashraf Ghani.

Don't do it... when we get all our tanks and guns back, and in 20 years when all the women are working, and girls have been educated in schools... maybe they can be trusted.
