Things are so expensive…

Most wives do the grocery shopping and they see firsthand what a disaster the Harris / Biden administration has done to their grocery bill. They'll vote with their wallet for sure.

But, but, but, I heard that the groceries were expensive due to Trump, because, you know, Covid. Covid was handled wrong by him.

Trump's administration made the economy bad for Harris Biden. Because, you know, she was raised in a middle class family and understands that the grocery stores price gouge... you know, corrupt greedy capitalists that Donald Trump gave tax breaks to, so that, you know, that they could price gouge us.

If they did not price gouge us, groceries would be the right price. Harris said so. Harris said that she is going after the price gougers once she is president. High prices have nothing to do with our current administration, you know sweet, Joyful, Harris????????

27%. That’s how much more expensive groceries were last month than they were in July 2019, according to the consumer price index’s food at home subcategory.

To address increased food and grocery prices, Vice President Kamala Harris’ campaign has promised to enact a federal ban on price gouging. In an Aug. 16 press release, the campaign vowed to “go after bad actors to bring down Americans’ grocery costs and keep inflation in check.”

Don't count on the majority of women doing that. Abortion rights always seems to become the majority of women's priority over economics, as they feel the right to make decisions about their bodies is up to them, not the government.

Can you specifically tell us what economic policies from this administration has caused grocery prices to increase? Here's an interesting article that may just enlighten you as to why grocery prices are high right now.

Essentially the pandemic was a catalyst for the prices to significantly increase. However, the food industry recognized their sales didn't decrease. As the pandemic eased and the supply chain began to return towards normal, reducing transportation costs, the food producers realized their profits were increasing.

Don't expect food prices to fall because these companies now are making record profits with the way prices are. As long as we are willing to pay thise high prices, they will remain high. Perhaps a way to bring them down is for consumers across the nation to pick a few companies and boycott their products for a month. A national boycott on products made by Dyson Foods and a few others would send a strong signal to it and its competitors that we're not going to put up with the high prices.

The high prices are a result of what the market will bear. As long as we continue to pay these prices, we will not see decreases.

I’m pretty sure there are a lot more women buying groceries than having abortions. Sadly some are probably having an abortion so they afford to buy groceries.

I don't really care. Grocery stores on average make a 2% profit margin... so there is that... but don't let facts get in your way.

One thing I experienced in the "pandemic" and now, is that I mostly buy salads and fruit and vegetables. Being in such a nice climate, and next to Mexico, those prices have stayed very stable and available here in San Diego.

Before, I purchased food for my mom and I. I would cook us meals so that she had nutrition. Mom died last year, so now I don't even go shopping that much. Since I no longer buy mom food, there went all those expenses, and now I eat at the hotel. We are allowed to have a meal there as part of our benefits. My grocery costs are next to nothing now. Some lettuce and fruit and fixings for salad dressing for the days I am not at work..

Due to that change, I have not been affected in my wallet by the HUGE increase of 27% to groceries.

If I had a family of 4, I guess I would be more upset... go figure.

In 2023, profit margins in the grocery industry hit 1.6% — the lowest level since it was 1% in 2019 — as total expenses increased, FMI found. The industry’s slowed same-store sales growth of 2.1% last year was driven by inflation.

Now Boss is defending the Democrats. :D
It's amazing that when I prove what she's saying is misinformation, you think I'm defending Democrats. I'm just pointing out the truth. That's the problem today in politics - nobody seems to care about the truth anymore. It's who can tell the best lies that scare the crap out of voters the most. It's also amazing how quickly people want to believe the lies based upon their party affiliation. What we have now is a bunch of voters for both parties who now low-information voters. Bless your hearts.

You haven't proven anything. Just because you say something doesn't make it so.

The biggest reason food prices are up is transportation costs.
Oil prices are up due to the Biden energy policy. Many trucking companies in California where much of America's produce is grown have an EV mandate for their trucks. These trucks are super-expensive.

Trump wants us to drill baby drill and become a net oil exporter rather than importer who's got to kiss the backside of the oil sheiks in the middle-east.
