The Best of Times

I was told to perform this song at my first audition with a secular group in Ohio. This was, oh...1981. All the guys and their wives were there. They were in their 30's and I was just 19. They were very nice but I guess they felt I was too young for them. It was still a lot of fun, although I had spent a week that cold winter sitting in my car and memorizing the words.

I Love the Song...

Styx - The Best Of Times Live 1996

I wish. I wouldn't be here at 9:30 PM instead of at the house if I did. :'(

Dennis DeYoung is a bit high for the baritone/base stylings of Guard Dad. ;D

I heard that one live. Wifey is a HUGE Styx fan and we went to the Paradise Theatre and Mr. Roboto concerts. Mr. Roboto was kind of the beginning of the end for Styx, it wasn't nearly as good as their previous stuff.

Suite Madam Blue is another favorite of mine.

Thanks. I've been blessed to stay away from serious harm for quite a spell. I think I'll be able to cruise through the next 594 days without too much trouble. I plan on staying longer, but after that specific date I can walk if things don't go right.

Tommy Shaw did not like Paradise Theater and Kilroy Was Here. After the tour for Kilroy was here, he quit. What he hated about them was the theatrics put into the concerts.
