What ever my mother wants me to eat, she's cooking.
The wife is making the turkey, she likes stuffing, so she makes the turkey.
Some think it is wrong to have an 82 yr old women cooking a Thanksgiving dinner, but the truth is, she would be a little hurt not to cook it.
So as long as we can wheel her up to the stove.......

That was my granny, who always cooked our Thanksgiving meal! til she passed away at 86. Since then, we all pitch in and each of us makes our favorite "Granny" dish. My uncle Doyle had perfected her dressing, but he passed away in May of this year. Mom is making the dressing, using Granny's recipe, this year.

Tomorrow is going to be so sad, as there'll be another empty seat at our table. We'll have fun, and enjoy each other, but will feel the loss.

Yes, ours will also be a sad one tomorrow with it being the first without my mom or both grandmothers. It's been a rough year for our family.

I hate missing people! It's the biggest heartbreak of life. Why can't Jesus just come get us so we don't have to miss our loved ones anymore?!?

(Sorry. I've been weepy, on and off, all day)
