If anyone could tell me how this sleep thing works that would be great... I have yet to figure it out :BH

Oh, dearest, I'm so sorry. I am the QUEEN of sleep problems. Mother and I cared for Daddy during his illness before he walked on ahead. He was sick for five years before he died, but really sick for three. And part of that really sick part was off-and-on dementia. If you know anything about dementia, you know that it can really wreak havoc on your sleep patterns. So he was up every night part or all of the night, and we were up every night part or all of the night. FOR THREE YEARS. He walked on ahead nearly four years ago, and we just started sleeping pretty well about a year and a half ago. We both still have sleep problems intermittently, esp. if we are stressed. My best advice is to follow the sleep etiquette guidelines (no exercise, caffeine, or TV right before bed; make your bedroom somewhere pleasant to be; do something you know will relax you before you go to sleep; etc.). And then just do the best you can. We did take Ambien for awhile because we were so strung out we HAD to do something. But it's so potent we took 1/2 pill, and then 1/3 pill. Sleep is SO UTTERLY VITAL. I feel for you, hon. I'll pray you sleep better tonight.

I have a personal plan that helps me sleep at night. First I work a few years, 6 PM to 6 AM and try to sleep during the day when everyone is mowing their yards while the neighborhood dogs bark and the telemarketers call. Then I'll work 2 PM to 11 PM for a while, come home and watch TV until about 2 AM for a few years.

My plan works because during the have a dozen years over the past 27 when I worked days like the majority of the human race, I slept like a baby.

I have tried herbs and melatonin... I was on 2 tablets of the stuff last night and only had about 3 hours.

I did however get 3 loads of laundry done, supper cooked for tonight and cleaned the kitchen. I am at work now yawning my head off... I am tired

Thank you. It was without a doubt the worst time of my life, and I'm only now getting my life back to some semblance of normacy (in every area, and I do mean every area). But I would do it all again in a heartbeat, and more (I still think of things I wish I'd done more than I did). I just wish I could have made him not be sick. He was a good man, and it means the world to know we'll see him again. I don't know how people deal with death who don't believe that God is there holding the hand of the person who's walked on ahead, and who don't believe in heaven.

Doesn't matter. Try Rescue Sleep. If you get it and it doesn't work for you, I'll buy it from you. What do you have to lose? You can get it through any good herb shop. Either the spray or the drops. I won't go into the full details of my sleep issues but the short story is that it involves a life long battle against 3-5+ full days/nights of absolutely zero sleep, not just trouble sleeping or a couple hours a night. Exactly zero sleep for periods of days on end. It's an absolute living h*ll and when it started up again and I found out about this stuff I tried it and I won;t give it up for anything now.

I had sleep issues. I took went and had a sleep study done and found out I had sleep apnea. Now I sleep using a c-pap and it's great. I went years with hardly having dreams and now I dream every night. I can sleep for 6 hours and wake up and feel great.

did that a few years ago... they said nothing is wrong with me other than I can't sleep. I was talking to them after an hour nap and was trying to get them to talk back.. lol they told me to be quiet and lay there... so I ended up jiggling and humming

It's why I love my Rescue Sleep so much. I don't think I could survive it anymore if it ever got to that level again. When it was at its worst it was basically sleep 1 night and then no sleep for 3-5 nights then sleep for 1 night, etc. The worst ever was 6 1/2 days/nights with no sleep. I wanted to die. First 2 nights were nothing. It was so much my norm that they didn't phase me. 3rd night was usually rough, I'd feel really tired. 4th and 5th nights I'd either get to feeling kind of drunk/goofy or insanely hyper.

Anyway ... sadie, whatever you do I hope you find something that works for you. I'm 100% serious though ... if you want to try the Rescue Sleep know that it will be basically risk free since I'll buy it if you try it (give it a fair try) and it doesn't work.
