I see that happening first in California.
Yep. It's coming, and as goes California, so goes the nation eventually if normal people don't step up and get riled up about this.

My city just passed a new and improved green agenda requiring all new building to use electricity... claiming using gas harams the environment. They want all buildings retrofitted to be only electric by 2035. They just decree it... as though they are kings.

They wont have to make the thermostat sit at 80. There won't be enough electricity to even keep the lights on, let alone an air conditioner.

Our gay progressive Mayor, Todd Gloria, who so badly wants to be a little gavin newsom is one effed up person. He can't wait to give away tax payer money to homeless, illegals, and injure businesses with ridiculous new laws. He is pushing taking away driver's lanes to make bus and bike lanes, but with the recent banning of natural gas, he has said we must get used to walking and biking to work school and our everyday activities.

None of this was voted on by the citizens.

Isn't natural gas clean burning? How is that not "green"? I guess that is considered a "fossil fuel"? Agendas are horrible!!

So if we do away with natural gas then what? Coal. Back to the days of coal dust and smoke

U.S. electricity generation by generating source

SourcePercentage of total generation
Coal19.3%
Natural gas40.5%
Petroleum0.4%
Nuclear19.7%
Renewables18.2%
Other1.8%
Showing 1 to 6 of 6 entries

In that 18.2% of national generation that comes from renewable energy, hydropower and wind energy lead the way with 7.1% and 8.4% of generation respectively. Here’s how the U.S. renewable electricity generation mix plays out:

Where does your electricity come from?

The electric grid brings power to every corner of the U.S., but the electricity flowing through the wires doesn’t come from the same sources everywhere. Depending on where you live, the electricity that makes its way to your property comes from different mixes of generating capacity, from coal to natural gas to renewables like hydropower, solar, and wind.

Key takeaways

  • Overall, the United States generates the most electricity with natural gas – 40.5% of all electricity produced, to be exact.
  • Renewable energy is very close to being the second-largest producer of electricity in the country at 18.2% of total generation.

To keep the grid functioning requires a delicate balance between supply and demand, as well as a highly integrated series of components throughout the country. Grid operators, such as the California Independent System Operator (CAISO) and the Pennsylvania-Jersey-Maryland Regional Transmission Operator (PJM RTO), maintain this balance through a mix of market awareness and insights plus forecasts of weather, demand, and supply, with a goal of providing low-cost and reliable electricity service.

Where does your state’s electricity come from?

The total mix of electricity flowing through the power grid comes from thousands of individual generators, all connected and supplying electricity to the grid through distribution networks. These generators use all sorts of fuels – mainly, the U.S. electric grid carries electricity generated by coal, natural gas, petroleum, nuclear power, and renewable energy. State by state, the exact percentages of each generating source differ:

Yep... all these politicians pushing for something we have no way of actually successfully implementing will be long gone by the time things are a royal cluster.

Sadly gavin newsom wants to be YOUR president he is 100% in on the Green agenda. The people here are so brainwashed they somehow don't care that the elected leaders function as despots living high while subjecting the rest of the masses to misery.

Most homes here have put solar panels on their roof to get away from the insanely high electric costs. Now the electric company is charging them more BECAUSE they have solar? The electric company says it is because they have to keep up the grid infrastructure. So corrupt.

They turn the electricity off here in the inland county when we have a windy day!!!!! The electrical infrastructure in California is so bad and out of date that the lines fall over and start fires. The Electric companies have been found at fault for many of the HUGE fires. So now they just turn the power off when it gets windy.

https://www.cnbc.com/2022/01/05/cal...ment-responsible-for-massive-dixie-fire-.html

On top of that, many of these solar panels are now aging out. I will bet money that people will get screwed once they need to get rid of the panels, or put new once since the longevity of solar panels is only 20 years. These panels are an ecological nightmare from what I have read. Putting them in the land fill is a horrible solution.

We are the canary in the coal mine... what happens here is coming to the rest of the USA... it is only a matter of time... they must be stopped.
