Sometimes I Hate Computers, Part...whatever

Sooo, my business partner decides I need a new computer and builds me one with major horsepower. fast processor, gobs of RAM, Windows 7 Professional, lots of USB ports, firewire, card reader, all the bells and whistles. I've had it plugged into an extra ethernet cable for a couple of days while I transferred my files to it.

So today was changeover day. I had to rearrange under my desk because the cabinet on this thing is so big...and I spent all morning getting ready to hook it up, and finally the big moment came and Windows won't load. I put it back where it was and it'll start up, but under my desk it won't. Driving me crazy!

Ugh!

I try all kinds of stuff...thought maybe it was a hardware conflict. Finally about 4:00, I find a loose wire on the hard drive. Apparently, something about where it was sitting and all that was connected to it would put just enough strain on it that the connection would break. So I tighten it all up and the dang thing finally starts up.

A half day later than I planned for, so now I'm way behind at work.

Yes, I'm whining! :rant :neenerbutt

Sorry to hear that GD. At least you have it running again.
