BBG and I met at the A Club in Tijuana, Mexico. He was in the Marine Corps and I was going to college in San Diego.

Why does you meeting Granny in Tijuana not surprise me? :))

I thought the same thing!

Its true. I was a hard working Tijuana male escort, she was a lonely college co-ed. She paid me a large sum of money to spend a few hours with her and 2 hours later we fell in love. She bought me from my pimp, hid me in the trunk of her Mustang, snuck me through border patrol and we have lived happily ever after since that night. The End.
It was more like you needed a ride back home because your drunk buddy decided to pee on the side of a building and get caught by la policia.

:donlaugh

Tequila was always involed back then....the cheap stuff that gave you one heck of a hangover!

Ah yes, I remember it like it was 11 years ago. Poor Travis, he just had to urinate really badly and that whole place is a giant urinal. And!!!!! If I'm not mistaken, your gay sailor friend was urinating right there next to him. But!!!! Being the heroic stud that I am, I held you (Because you were scared as hell), hid my jewelry, and paid the Policia off. I still dont know how the crap we fit 7 people in a '95 Mustang. And yes SD, there was gallons of Cuervo and Bologna beer.

mine is real exciting. I was 16 and he was 17...I started working at Kmart and he was already working there..on my 3rd day there, he was working a blue light special and I asked one of the other girls who he was. She told me all about him but I told her I couldn't pursue him cause he was to old for me...she laughed and said he is only 17 (I thought he was like 25). He heard I was inquiring about him and started talking to me..we chatted in the store for about 2 months before he finally asked me out. Been together ever since. So I guess you could say I found him at the blue light special.. :laugh :laugh :laugh

funny side note: before Kmart in mableton became Kmart,it was a grands. My two sisters worked there and met both of their husbands there and then I met mine at kmart and my niece met her husband at Kmart also.. :laugh My daughter says Brad Paisley wrote the I found love at a Kmart store song for me and my sisters.. :laugh

One Friday evening the music/ praise team from my church was asked by our pastor to accompany him to a church in Macon to start the service before his guest speaking engagement.
My buddy the piano player practically begged me to go, (it being Friday night after work, I really wasn't that excited about going) but I decided to go.
We got there and set up our equipment, and warmed up prior to the service after which we all sat down and began to talk about different things when the topic of why am I still single came up.
I answered I guess God doesn't have me/other person ready yet, then we decided to pray it went something like " Lord I pray that you bring some one into my life soon, and that we will be married with in a year".
The service began and went as scheduled, after which I met my wife who was a member of the church we were visiting.
I often tease her that when she saw the handsome saxophone player (me) on the stage she just couldn't help herself, and chased me down in the parking lot of the church to be sure I had her number.
The one thing to take from this story is God does answer prayer !
:pray

Cute stories.

I met my husband our sophomore year in college. He grew up here in Paulding County and I grew up in a little town in Northwest Georgia. I was a cheerleader in college and he tells me all the time that he developed a crush on me while watching me cheer during basketball games (that sounds so corny now in my older age) but was scared to ask me out. :cheer1 We never had any classes together so our paths rarely crossed.

A few months later, some friends and I were at our college's baseball game (which my husband played on the team) watching a game and we decided we would "rate" the baseball player's butts. I gave my husband (who I didn't really know then) a "10" and it somehow got back to him (and yes, before anyone ask, I am embarrassed about this) :) He approached me a few days later and said he heard I liked his "butt". The rest is history and 31 years of wedded bliss later, I still rate him a "10" in every way! :)
