Supposed to hit 99 degrees in Paulding! From my experience, it usually runs 2-3 degrees higher in Hiram.

Be careful, folks. Stay hydrated, limit your time outside, especially in the direct sun. Wear light colored and loose fitting cotton clothing. Hats can help, especially an old farmer's style straw hat or the "Outback" type hat they wear down under.

Make sure your A/C filter is clean, and it wouldn't hurt to take a garden hose and rinse out your condenser coil on the outside unit. Shut off power first, rinse it out good and let it dry a few minutes before turning back on.

Keep curtains closed over windows, make sure doors are tightly shut. This is above the "design limit" for the Atlanta area, so some homes might not stay cool.

The very old (LTD and Boss) and very young are especially at risk, so watch out for them.
