S/O - Are you "touchy feely"?

I'm VERY touchy feely. Its nothing uncommon for me to touch someone on the shoulder or on the leg during conversation.
I think it comes from years of social work in a nursing home, where you learn the value of human touch from people who don't get to experience it much anymore. Just a simple pat on the hand or small hug may make the difference in someones day.
I always hug my friends...unless I know for sure its someone that doesn't want to be hugged.

I just love hugs from friends and cheek kisses from very close friends. I think I am the only one in my family like this. Too much German in them. lol I, too, got this from church.

After we moved to Florida, it was the first place I had ever lived that I had to start completely over making friends. I always hated the feeling of going out and not running into a friend, not seeing a friendly face or getting that friendly hug. I felt so lonesome. I will never forget the first time I was out and ran into a newly found friend and we greeted each other with a hug. It just felt so wonderful to me and FL started to feel like home.
 
Oh gosh. I come from a family that loves to hug each other. Yeah, I'm huggy and stuff. I think once you've met me, you kinda know that about me. ;D
 
My wife's family are all huggers. I guess some of that rubbed off on me. Also the older you get the more you realize how important family and good friends are in your life, and you want to make sure that they know too.
 
Definitely touchy feeley. I've also had to learn to put a damper on, due to the harassment hysteria.

And I do love hugs! I still hug my grown sons, family and friends.
