The series was on for four seasons starting in 1960 and starred George Maharis and Martin Milner. It can be watched on Amazon Prime. Route 66 started in Chicago and ended in Santa Monica, going through Illinois, Missouri, Kansas, Oklahoma, Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, and California. The first episode took place in some forgotten hick town in Mississippi. The second was in St. Isle, LA. I'm beginning to question why the show was called Route 66.
