He's willing to testify that he was duped by Trump to invade the capitol building. He most likely made a deal to avoid prosecution or to just receive a fine in exchange for his testimony.

This is a guy who has been quite the spokesman for Q'Anon on social media, rallies, and protests. I doubt he was duped by Trump to do anything against the law.
